Welcome to Periwinkle Needlepoint, your new source for needlepoint supplies in midcoast Maine! I'm thrilled to be open in historic downtown Thomaston, right on Rte 1 with lots of free parking available - both on Rte 1 and behind the block (turn onto Beechwood at the light, and then onto Starr).

In addition to needlepoint, I also have a selection of embroidery kits and supplies, templates for slow stitching, cross stitch, and visible mending, and some fun needle felting kits!
I'm here 10-5 Tues, Wed, Fri, & Sat, and 11-6 on Thursdays for our weekly Open Stitch Session.

About
I'm Jen Webber...
...and I'm so happy to be back in midcoast Maine. Periwinkle Needlepoint is a one-woman show, and that's me! I was born in Rockland, back in the days when Rockland had its own hospital. My family moved me around a bunch, and I continued with the wandering feet as an adult but Maine has always been home.
I've worked as an archaeologist, a baker, a cook on tall ships, and most recently running a yarn & needlepoint store in New Orleans. When it came time to move home, I was lucky enough to be supported in opening my own shop, and so here we are. I look forward, in turn, to providing tools and support for lots of fiber arts creativity in our community!
The Name...
Naming a business is always tricky, and I've had my share of stumbling blocks coming around to Periwinkle. In the end, though, it just makes sense. My family's cottage in Cushing was named Periwinkle Point by my aunt when she was young, and it's absolutely one of my favorite places on earth. I also appreciate that snails don't rush a thing and that echoes my love of slow stitching.
